Neighborhood Stabilization and Safety in North East Philadelphia

December 2010

By John Kromer and Christopher Kingsley

Published by The Penn Fels Institute of Government

This publication presents data on demographic and social indicators for the Association of Puerto Ricans on the March (APM) target area, Southwest Center City, and Philadelphia as a whole. The findings include that while the APM area remains markedly less safe than Philadelphia as a whole and its residents remain relatively disadvantaged, but the neighborhood has improved markedly over the past decade.
