Call for Papers!

Deadline: September 23, 2019

The Center for Community Progress, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland have issued a call for papers for a joint research publication to be published in May 2021 and presented at the 2021 Reclaiming Vacant Properties Conference.

The purpose of this volume is to reflect on the challenges associated with vacant and abandoned properties, learn from approaches that have been implemented to address these challenges since the founding of Community Progress in 2010, and offer lessons for future policies and strategies as we move forward. We are looking for perspectives from a diverse group of researchers and practitioners to examine the scope and nature of the problem, identify drivers and consequences, and assess the effectiveness of strategies and interventions. We are seeking both formal research papers – quantitative and qualitative – as well as on-the-ground case studies and policy analyses from practitioners in the field.

Individuals or organizations interested in presenting their research in this joint publication should submit abstracts or completed papers by September 23, 2019. (If submitting an abstract, completed papers will be due not later than September 1, 2020.)
